Proud! The Fattan Army Team will Represent Indonesia at the Hong Kong International Grand Final in MERMC 2019

Saturday (6/7). Alhamdulillah, UMY’s “Fattan Army” Monsoon team won 1st place in the Monsoonsim Enterprise Resource Management Competition (MERMC) Indonesian Final 2019 held by Monsoon Academy and supported by SAP and MonsoonSIM Partners. The Fattan Army team was also one of the teams that definitely represented Indonesia with the BASIC team from the University of Indonesia who won second place in this competition. The two teams will represent Indonesia at the International Grand Final which will be held at The Hongkong Polytechnic university, Hong Kong in August.

MERMC 2019 Indonesian Final was held on July 6, 2019 at Budi Luhur University followed by 32 best teams from 18 universities throughout Indonesia. Through this MERMC Monsoon Academy has an aspiration to encourage students to be individuals who are ready to face future business challenges and encourage students to be able to make business decisions later.

In this competition, UMY sent 2 teams (Fattan Army team and Megatron team), all of whom were from Accounting students. The two teams both fought in the preliminary round where both were divided into groups C and A, which would then be taken 4 of the best teams from each group. In the preliminary round Team Megatron managed to occupy the 5th position in group A and the Fattan Army team managed to occupy the 1st position in group C. The Top Team automatically entered the grand final, which won first and second place tickets to represent Indonesia in the Hong Kong International Grand Final. The final results of the grand final of the Fattan Army team managed to occupy the 1st place and Megatron’s team did not qualify in the preliminary round. This success was also helped by UMY Accounting lecturer, Ilham Maulana Saud, S.E., M.Sc., Ak who successfully brought students to win in Monsoon competitions held annually.
