On Tuesday (06/8), Accounting Study Program held a workshop with the theme “Adaptation of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 in the material of financial accounting and management accounting”. The event was attended by 2 speakers from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Gajah Mada University, Prof. Mahfud Sholihin, M.Acc., Ph.D and Singgih Wijayana, M.Sc., Ph.D. The purpose of this event is as an evaluation of financial accounting teaching materials and management accounting in accounting study programs in relation to the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

The first session, Singgih Wijayana as the speaker of financial accounting topics presented the material to the workshop participants, namely lecturers of accounting lecturers umy. According to him, not all accounting roles can be replaced with technology because of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). However, in the process of teaching the class the need for Technological support to support this. The lecturer who teaches at the UGM accounting study program is developing a learning system that is integrated with technology by providing large classrooms equipped with cameras so that students can download recordings during teaching and can repeat recordings if needed in the learning process. The second session was continued by Mahfud Sholihin as the speaker on management accounting topics presenting the material. In his presentation, he said that Management became the most registrant and sought after in various universities. this matter becomes an evaluation material for accounting study program to always increase registrant interest. In the end the event was closed with lunch together.
