At the Youth Festival Day at the UMY Sportorium building on Wednesday night (7/11), Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta set a record for the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI) with the most simultaneous access to capital market applications by the AKSes facility managed by the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI ) This activity can be realized through the collaboration of UMY, specifically the KSPM Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), KSEI, PT Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), and PT First Asia Capital Securities (FAC).

“As many as 3000 of our students become young investors,” said the Rector of UMY Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, M.P. In addition, he also stated that this was a concrete step from UMY for Indonesia. Also revealed by Gunawan in a period of about 2 months this record can be solved by starting to instill an understanding of investment and capital markets early on for the future.

In addition, the Director of KSEI Syarifudin as the main sponsor of the Youth Festival hoped that the means of protection for investors, namely the AKSes application that had been available since 2009, could be utilized as well as possible by young investors. “This event is a very positive momentum. With this, the soul of young investors can be invested early, so that they can become investors who are not only smart but also consistent and able to survive in the capital market with AKSes applications, “he said.

“I hope this UMY step can be followed by other universities in Indonesia, because the capital market is a driver of the Indonesian economy. Besides that, I hope that tonight not only becomes a celebration, but young investors must continue what has been created tonight, “said Ayarifudin again.

The submission of the MURI record was handed over by Ariyani Siregar SE as the manager of the Semarang branch to KSEI Director Syarifudin. The Youth Festival Day program was also enlivened by Rizky Febian and the famous Indonesian band Letto. (Pras)
